Scrapbooking

This last weekend I went to my brother's in Tooele to scrapbook. My sister in law Donell has pretty much everything so I go every couple of months and spend the night. Donell's sister Gina was there as well along with Donell's friend Missy. It was a lot of fun and we got a lot done. I am working on my honeymoon and I should have it finished next month when we go again :) Donovan had fun playing with all the kids there. Here they are playing coaster tycoon. I don't know what the huge headphones are about but it is freakin adorable!!! The weather was nice so the kids played out a lot. Donovan even got a little sunburned. Here they are on the swings. Donovan was taking the girls to Africa. I love their imaginations!!!!

Beans on Toast

So I think I am funny so I had to share ;) I was talking to Ken the other day about how I felt like I was failing him as his wife in the fact that I had not yet sent him something via mail. With the wonderful technology we have now he can call and we email and haven't really had a need to send anything by post. So I was asking him what he would want me to send. He said "I want for nothing". hmmmm.... want for nothing? what about the fact that your wife is in another country ;) He said as far as material things he doesn't need anything. He can get it all there and most of it is no cost to him. So after the call I was trying to think of things that he couldn't possibly get over there. Mostly English stuff that I know he likes. So I emailed him saying oh yeah what about this candy or that.. I bet you can't get that. And I am sure that you can't get beans on toast with a fried egg **see end of post for explanation** to which he replied and I quote "well are you going to send me beans on toast with a fried egg? I didn't think so" He is so sassy!!! And grossly underestimates me. So with a little imagination I posted a package off to Afghanistan yesterday and included in there was beans on toast with a fried egg!! ;) I used Melba toast, jelly beans and a plastic fried egg :) **Beans on toast is a yummy thing we English folk like for breakfast. Though we have had it for a quick easy dinner millions of times and I introduced it to Ken and he LOVES it. It is just buttered toast with baked beans (pork and beans) on top and then to spice it up we often fry and egg and put it on top. Don't knock it till you try it! It is sooooo good :)

Bogey's Presents KHP

My brother's band KHP played at Bogey's in Clearfield this weekend. They were awesome as usual. They played a new song which is a cover of Tom Jones's Delia. They rocked it.... it was great. My brother Kristian chatting with us before the show. My brothers Jake and Andrew enjoying the music :) Brian the bassist has been working on back up vocals. On one of the songs Calm before the storm his harmonys were awesome. We screamed and embarrassed him. It was awesome!!!!!

Cambree Rose

Last Saturday Miss Cambree was baptized. She looked so beautiful and I felt blessed to be included in her special day. I did pretty good with the water works, till Stacie set me off!!! Cambree was quite the host and was buzzing around thanking each person individually for being there. There was a luncheon afterwards and we had a good time. Thanks Cambree and I am so proud of you!!

Home away from home

So Ken finally sent some pictures from Afghanistan. He gave me a tour of his room. He has it all to himself and good thing too because there isn't much room in there. If you look you can see things in the window. Ken uses it as a fridge because it is really cold there right now:) His bed is just a mattress on a peice of wood. Ken says it isn't all that comfy but it is better than the floor. The windows have black tape over them because Ken works at night so he has to sleep during the day. This is his entertainment center. He bought the tv when he was in Indiana so he could pack it flat and take it with him overseas. Good thing too because he says there really isn't anything else to do. This is Ken's heating and cooling system. It is just a peice of piping with a hole in it. My crafty husband taped a dryer sheet over the hole to help stop the dust and make it smell nice. He is so smart!! I love that now I can imagine a real place when I think of him. I love you husband!!

Get Together

Last saturday the girl's got together out in Tooele at Stacie's house. Sadly we missed Destini Sara and Shannon!! We had pizza and the kids played and had a good time. Jerid had us playing discombobulation (something like that) which was a fun card game. Amy had to leave before all the fun though! But here are the pictures as promised. Though I only took two;) Then Amber headed home and Brandi and I stayed and played Pirates late into the night!! It was a good time and Jerid made us all Orange Julius (my favorite) and Chocolate Marshmellow Malts. Yes I left 10 pounds fatter but we had fun. Thanks Johnson's for a great time!!

The Outer Rim

My brother in law's band Phoenix Rising were the head lining band at the Outer Rim last Friday. They did an awesome job and have really come a long way. It was a fun show and we all had a good time. It is always dark so the pictures are never the great but I keep taking them anyway ;) Donovan loves going to the shows! Here is the lead singer Dave and the 2 back up girls Britany and Laurie They have lots of people in the band and fill up the stage! On one of the songs Jason played the guitar with a violin bow. It was awesome!! Alex rocking during one of his solo's!! Donovan and Grandma enjoying the show.

Dance Dance!!

On Friday I went over to Tiffany's to hang out. We picked up some Olive Garden to go and played at her house. Tiffany's boys love to dance so for Christmas I got them a dance cam which lets them see themselves dancing on tv. Yes I am aware that it is February but the boys were happy to have a present! Kaden and Preston were so cute and had fun dancing around! Then the boys took a nap and Tiffany helped me design a background for my blog. I wanted something cute and simple and I am really happy with how it turned out. Thanks Tiff for a fun day!!
