So it was nearing the end of the work day yesterday when our building Security guard came to my desk and said I had a package downstairs. Weird I wasn't expecting anything so I asked her if it was a bomb :) Thankfully she said no and so we headed downstairs. I was racking my brain trying to think if I had a client that was sending something in. It isn't a strange thing to have them send something off the wall but I couldn't come up with anything. Then it hit me that maybe Ken had sent me flowers for my birthday! He isn't really the type for flowers but I know he was sad to have to miss my birthday and we had talked about another soldier who had sent his wife flowers so I knew it was in his head. But then I thought nah because it was too early for my birthday. Well I stepped of the elevator and there was a single red rose waiting for me..... and Ken was holding it!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it! My deployed soldier husband who is in Indiana and I don't get to see until December 18th (note the counter on the right) is standing in front of me?! I was stunned. They had a few days off for Thanksgiving so four of them decided to rent a car and drive the 21 hours home for the holiday. I still can't believe it. I kept asking him if he was really here! :) Isn't he the best husband ever!!!!!!!!!??? You can't have him he is all mine!!! They have to drive back at Midnight Saturday night but he is going to wait a few minutes until it is Sunday so he can give me a kiss for my birthday! I am so happy:) and shocked!! This is already the best Thanksgiving to date!! :) Thank you Ken I love you so much and this is better than any gift you could buy, yes even the Laptop you got me ;)

Spirit Day
So I picked Donovan up on Thursday to spend the weekend and he asks me if I have any rings he can borrow. Strange request.... he says it is spirit day at school tomorrow and he needs to bring rings or a necklace or bracelet to school to celebrate. Not really sure what jewelry has to do with spirit day but we have a giant box of beads left from my jewelry making days and so I told him we could make a necklace. We had fun picking out the beads and making a pattern. He helped me string the beads and he was very happy with the finished product!! We had to take a picture and email it to Ken because he was so proud of his work :)

Tony Grove
So last weekend my Dad decided he wanted to go for a drive in the mountains. He wanted to go hiking and let the kids run wild and get muddy. (Not sure what got into him) so we piled into the cars and headed up Logan Canyon. We ended up at Tony Grove and SNOW!! It was so quiet and peaceful. And my Dad got his wish because muddy we were. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed being outdoors.
My cute boys!
Ahh! We love each other
Big Foot lives!! He is my brother Matthew ;)
I had to prove that we indeed got muddy. We were wet and dirty but had a lot of fun. Shoes and socks and pants all came off when we got in the car and we rode home warm wrapped in blankets. Good times!!

Baby Blessing
So my sweet friend Cat invited me to the blessing of her son Jackson. They waited a long time for him and it was awesome to see them so happy. Apple Jacks is so adorable and I even got a cuddle before the blessing. He was smiling at me the whole time! (all the boys love me what can I say) Brandi came with me because I hate going places by myself. Thanks Brandi :) We had the camera taken pictures of the happy family and so decided we needed some pictures of us with the boys. It was hard to keep them focused though because they found a grasshopper and that is all they wanted to do. Made for a cute picture though!

Halloween Party
So the girls got together for our Halloween party on Friday. It was so much fun. The kids were adorable and we had a pinata and decorated cookies. I took a million pictures so it was hard to pick :)
This was the hardest part. That is a lot of kids to get all sat down looking the same direction. Not too bad I thought though.
We were lucky to have such a nice day and we could keep all the mess outside. The Mom's even joined in on the decorating. They were yummy fresh cookies!! Thanks Destini for the hook-up :)
We had a human ladder worked out to hang the pinata. We probably shouldn't of had the pregnant girl doing it though!!! Then the kids sat down and waited their turn. ( some better than others) It was so cute watching all the kids swinging away. Even the little kids joined in.
I think every kid got 2 turns and it was Donovan who finally beheaded the witch!! Then the kids scrambled for candy!
It is always fun to get together with good friends. Thanks for a fun day girls!! And Brandi and Stacie you better be at the next one!!!

Man in Uniform
Don't get too excited ladies... he is all mine!!! I took this picture yesterday morning at 3:00 AM because Ken was leaving for his first leg of training. He is only gone for 2 weeks and then gets to come home for a few days so I should be able to survive. He wasn't a fan of getting his picture taken so they aren't the best but isn't he so handsome!! I miss you babe!! Hurry home!!

Dyson
So when we were registering for our wedding I told Ken that I refused to get any kind of vacuum other than a Dyson. Of course I want one of the most expensive ones and Ken almost had a heart attack when he sat the $550 price tag. Still I said they are an awesome vacuum and that is what I want. Plus Ken wont buy any other car but a jeep so I reminded him of that fact. So Ken compromised saying I could have that vacuum if he gets the same money to spend on anything he wants. I specified it had to be something for our home and agreed. Well I figured I would start saving and have it by the time he got home next year. But my brother Colin called me yesterday and said that the special on Woot.com is a dyson. Woot sells one item everyday on a good deal and it changes everyday. Well I checked it out and it is exactly the one I want. So I called Ken who said do it!! So I got my vacuum. I am so excited!!! It was on sale for $260!!! Way to go me!!!!!!!!! :)
