On Friday I was trying to clean my house and not really feeling like it. Ken was off doing his dive certification and I was really jealous!! So Kristian decided to take his boys swimming and invited me and Donovan to go along. We jumped at the chance.
The boys enjoyed the slide.
Sabien.... I love his face!
Then it was Alaster's turn. Same face!! You can tell they are brothers ;)
Here comes Donovan. It doesn't look like it but he thought it was fun.
Just chillin'. Sabien didn't like me taking his picture so I only got the one on the slide.
It was hilarious when Donovan finally figured out what this did when it dumped a full bucket of water on his head! I was laughing so hard :D
Alaster was getting out of the pool and walked right through this fountain. He struggled but it was much more fun than just going around I guess :)
Kristian and I had a good chat and the boys had a blast. It was so nice to relax and enjoy the water. I am so ready for summer!!

Turks and Caicos
Uncle Sam was really good to us this year so we decided to use part of our tax return to go on a great vacation! We are going to take Donovan to San Diego in June and he is super excited. Sea World and Lego Land.... he can hardly wait!!!
But before that Ken and I are going to spend 10 days in the Carribean. I can hardly stand it. It is so beautiful and some of the best dive sites in the world. Ken got his dive certification this week so we are all set!! Gorgeous water and white sandy beaches........ (sigh) it's a beautiful thing!!!

Movies!!!
Last night we had crab legs for dinner. They are my new favorite thing :) Donovan was SO excited. He loves the claw :)
I made it with asparagus which Donovan has never had before. He LOVED it. I was a little surprised but he has good taste. He even asked for seconds. What a good boy.
Then we made popcorn and watched a movie. Donovan has never seen an air popper either (he is so sheltered) so he was fascinated. It was a good night.
Then today we went to Red Robyn for lunch.
He even got a milkshake... such a spoiled little boy.
Then we went and saw Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Donovan really liked it and it wasn't so bad for a grown up either. It was a really great day!!!!! Love you Kiddo :)

In The Venue
Tonight KHP had a show at In the Venue in Salt Lake. They were the only local band and the rest were touring bands. The headliner was Otep. They rest of the bands were all Heavy Metal screamer bands so the boys were a little nervous how they would be received. They have yet to be boo'd so they were hoping that tonight wasn't the night. And they did awesome. The crowd were into it and jumping around. The pictures aren't all that great because I had to stand back so I didn't get knocked over.
It was a really great show as always!!!

Happy Valentine's Day
Yep still way behind but thought I would share our Valentine's day. I am the best wife ever and decided to get my husband a hand gun. There is no way I could have picked it out myself so I surprised him in the morning and we headed out to impact guns. He picked out a Glock and is a very happy man!!!
We did some target practice and I shot a hand gun for the very first time. I was so nervous but I really enjoyed it.
And here are my first 3 shots....not bad right?! I shot a 9mm and a 45. We had a great time.
Then we went shopping for me. Ken was racking his brain and then said there is no way he could top my gift ;) I was happy with my cute new watch.
It was a good day and was happy to have Ken in the same country for this one :)

In Stitches
I am so behind on blogging but at the end of January we celebrated the January birthday's with my family. A few weeks prior, my nephew was running and fell and head butted the bed which split his head open. At the time of the party his stitches were ready to come out. So Kristian took them out. Alaster is so funny it didn't phase him at all. He is such a tough little kid.
When he was done he was walking up to everyone saying hey look at my scar. I think he is quite proud. Plus chicks dig scars!!! ;)
Chloe, her friend Ashley and Alexis enjoying the festivities.
Kristian the birthday boy.
Matthew is a weirdo.
Jake is too :)

Motorcycle Madness
Last weekend, Ken's soldier buddy Ryan and his wife Natalie invited us to Mesquite. Ryan had a motorcycle race there Saturday morning. We already had dinner plans with Colin and Donell Friday night so we got packed and ready to go right after dinner. We had a great time at my brother's house. Had yummy food and played some games. Thanks guys!!! So it was 11:00 pm by the time we got on the road. Probably not the best idea but off we went. Ken was getting pretty tired so I took over driving for a while, while he tried to get some sleep. Then we switched back and I tried to get some sleep. Sadly I awoke to sirens because Ken was going 95! Good times! That reminds me though, I need to remind him to get that taken care of. Anyway we finally made it to Mesquite about 4:30 am I think. We were wasted! We were up by 8:30 to meet everyone for breakfast and head to the race. The weather was beautiful and we had a really great time. 3 of Ryans friends were racing too in another division and one of them, Pedro, took second!! And now of course Ken wants a motorcylce too :) Ryan did well, especially since it was his first race and everyone said the track was brutal. He had a spectacular spill caught on tape right at the end of the race but he made it! Thanks Ryan and Natalie for the invite. It was great to get to know them a little better and have a little fun in the sun :)
I was super excited to try out my new camera some more but left the battery charging at home. Super annoying!! So we only got a few pictures with our phones.
He we are at dinner in the casino after the race. We had a good time and even came home with a little more money than we left with. Actually just enough to cover the speeding ticket ;)
