In Stitches

I am so behind on blogging but at the end of January we celebrated the January birthday's with my family. A few weeks prior, my nephew was running and fell and head butted the bed which split his head open. At the time of the party his stitches were ready to come out. So Kristian took them out. Alaster is so funny it didn't phase him at all. He is such a tough little kid. When he was done he was walking up to everyone saying hey look at my scar. I think he is quite proud. Plus chicks dig scars!!! ;) Chloe, her friend Ashley and Alexis enjoying the festivities. Kristian the birthday boy. Matthew is a weirdo. Jake is too :)

Motorcycle Madness

Last weekend, Ken's soldier buddy Ryan and his wife Natalie invited us to Mesquite. Ryan had a motorcycle race there Saturday morning. We already had dinner plans with Colin and Donell Friday night so we got packed and ready to go right after dinner. We had a great time at my brother's house. Had yummy food and played some games. Thanks guys!!! So it was 11:00 pm by the time we got on the road. Probably not the best idea but off we went. Ken was getting pretty tired so I took over driving for a while, while he tried to get some sleep. Then we switched back and I tried to get some sleep. Sadly I awoke to sirens because Ken was going 95! Good times! That reminds me though, I need to remind him to get that taken care of. Anyway we finally made it to Mesquite about 4:30 am I think. We were wasted! We were up by 8:30 to meet everyone for breakfast and head to the race. The weather was beautiful and we had a really great time. 3 of Ryans friends were racing too in another division and one of them, Pedro, took second!! And now of course Ken wants a motorcylce too :) Ryan did well, especially since it was his first race and everyone said the track was brutal. He had a spectacular spill caught on tape right at the end of the race but he made it! Thanks Ryan and Natalie for the invite. It was great to get to know them a little better and have a little fun in the sun :) I was super excited to try out my new camera some more but left the battery charging at home. Super annoying!! So we only got a few pictures with our phones. He we are at dinner in the casino after the race. We had a good time and even came home with a little more money than we left with. Actually just enough to cover the speeding ticket ;)
