Baby Blessing

So my sweet friend Cat invited me to the blessing of her son Jackson. They waited a long time for him and it was awesome to see them so happy. Apple Jacks is so adorable and I even got a cuddle before the blessing. He was smiling at me the whole time! (all the boys love me what can I say) Brandi came with me because I hate going places by myself. Thanks Brandi :) We had the camera taken pictures of the happy family and so decided we needed some pictures of us with the boys. It was hard to keep them focused though because they found a grasshopper and that is all they wanted to do. Made for a cute picture though!

Halloween Party

So the girls got together for our Halloween party on Friday. It was so much fun. The kids were adorable and we had a pinata and decorated cookies. I took a million pictures so it was hard to pick :) This was the hardest part. That is a lot of kids to get all sat down looking the same direction. Not too bad I thought though. We were lucky to have such a nice day and we could keep all the mess outside. The Mom's even joined in on the decorating. They were yummy fresh cookies!! Thanks Destini for the hook-up :) We had a human ladder worked out to hang the pinata. We probably shouldn't of had the pregnant girl doing it though!!! Then the kids sat down and waited their turn. ( some better than others) It was so cute watching all the kids swinging away. Even the little kids joined in. I think every kid got 2 turns and it was Donovan who finally beheaded the witch!! Then the kids scrambled for candy! It is always fun to get together with good friends. Thanks for a fun day girls!! And Brandi and Stacie you better be at the next one!!!

Man in Uniform

Don't get too excited ladies... he is all mine!!! I took this picture yesterday morning at 3:00 AM because Ken was leaving for his first leg of training. He is only gone for 2 weeks and then gets to come home for a few days so I should be able to survive. He wasn't a fan of getting his picture taken so they aren't the best but isn't he so handsome!! I miss you babe!! Hurry home!!

Dyson

So when we were registering for our wedding I told Ken that I refused to get any kind of vacuum other than a Dyson. Of course I want one of the most expensive ones and Ken almost had a heart attack when he sat the $550 price tag. Still I said they are an awesome vacuum and that is what I want. Plus Ken wont buy any other car but a jeep so I reminded him of that fact. So Ken compromised saying I could have that vacuum if he gets the same money to spend on anything he wants. I specified it had to be something for our home and agreed. Well I figured I would start saving and have it by the time he got home next year. But my brother Colin called me yesterday and said that the special on Woot.com is a dyson. Woot sells one item everyday on a good deal and it changes everyday. Well I checked it out and it is exactly the one I want. So I called Ken who said do it!! So I got my vacuum. I am so excited!!! It was on sale for $260!!! Way to go me!!!!!!!!! :)

Boss's Day

So it was Boss's Day yesterday and we got my boss a cookie bouquet. It was so cute so I had to blog it. It is funny because she gets so embarrassed with personal stuff so they called her to the front desk and my team waited by her office. When she came back we all started clapping and making a fuss. She was so embarrassed and went to pieces. It was funny. My boss Zeljka :)

Happy Birthday to ME!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Ken is going to be gone for my birthday and being the wonderful husband that he is he actually planned ahead. (I was shocked too!) So he ordered me an early birthday present. Well I was a little worried because I hadn't given him any ideas at all. But he is a very smart boy and got me........... A Laptop!!!! :) I was so shocked I couldn't believe it. I have wanted one for so long. Ken has been making quite a lot of purchases on things to take on deployment and he came home the other day saying he wanted to get a laptop. I said no way I should get one first! But of course it would be wonderful if he had one because it would mean we could communicate a little easier when he is gone. But I threw my little tantrum anyway and told him fine get one but it is mine when he gets back! I didn't think he would really get one. And I certainly didn't think he would get me one for my birthday! But he did and so since he was buying me one he decided what the heck and bought him one too! Goodness you would think we were made of money!!! But I got my laptop so I am happy!!! Thank you wonderful husband! I love you!!! And I love my laptop!!!

Army Strong!

So Ken is leaving for the first leg of his training tomorrow. It was really sad watching him pack everything to get ready. He had to take it all to camp Williams today to get it all checked. I am sad he is leaving but it is only until Halloween so I get to ease into him being gone. So I was sat watching Ken pack and saw his bullet proof vest. So I decided I wanted to know what it felt like for Ken. So I suited up and I felt like I was going to fall over!! When I put the helmet on I could hardly hold my head up. But we were laughing and then Ken started using me as a punching bag. It didn't hurt at all but nearly knocked me over a few times. :)

Les Miserables

So my parents went to St. George a few weeks ago to see Les Mis at the Tuacahn Theatre. They said it was incredible and Ken and I should go. I love Les Mis but Ken is not a fan of musicals so figured we would never go. Well I was telling his parents that Ken won't take me and Ken says I never said that you just have to convince me. So I was trying to work out some brilliant plan to get him to take me, when I realized what a big dummy I am. Ken loves to play cards and Mesquite is less than an hour from St. George. I didn't even need to spin it to sound great, the mention of Black Jack and Ken was sold and bought the tickets the next day!! We drove down Thursday and went straight to the show. It is an outside theater surrounded by big red rock cliffs and is absolutely gorgeous!! The play was magnificent and we had a great time! We were waiting to find our seats when this woman walked over and it ended up being Michele who Ken and I both used to work with. We chatted for a bit then went to find our seats. Well Michele ended up being sat right in front of us. It was really crazy the luck. Though Ken was cursing Michele later when we got to the casino and he couldn't win to save his life. The one in a 1000 chance we would sit together took all his luck!! We stayed the night in Mesquite and then played all the next day. We ended up not too bad and had a lot of fun. Thanks babe for a fun weekend!!

Chuck E Cheese

So it is my turn to post a trip to Chuck E Cheese. My neice and nephew have their birthdays a day apart so we all headed there to celebrate. Now I used to love going there as a kid, but the new one just open in Layton is nothing like the one I remember. It was the most horrible birthday party ever!!!! It was so packed and they kept trying to kick us off the tables... apparently you can only stay for an hour. But I have BIG brothers and lots of them and so nobody actually dared make us move ;) But it was loud and chaotic and crazy and there is not enough money in the world to make me go back. Even the people working there looked miserable. I would go crazy if I had to work there every day!!! But of course the kids had a blast but we dragged them out of there as quick as possible before the adults lost their minds :) So no more Chuck E Cheese for me please!! Matthew was so good with the kids and took them around to play all the games. The birthday girl Alexis and her friend Kelly Donovan rocking the ski ball Birthday boy Michael opening presents. Ken and I gave him Iron Man on dvd and he was so excited!! High five I got some cash!! Happy Birthday Lex and Michael!!

I HATE SPIDERS!!!

So Brandi and I went to dinner last night and had a ton of fun! We then picked up Austin and headed back to her house to watch movies and chill. When we walked in the house Austin turned on the light and jumped and said he saw a spider. I looked on the floor and couldn't see anything, just a small black piece of fluff. So we thought nothing of it and settled on the couch. Well a little while later I am lay on the couch watching Ausin play on the computer and out of the corner of my eye I see the biggest ugliest spider crawl across the cushion right next to my head!! I screamed and rolled off the couch and was freaking out because I HATE SPIDERS!!! HATE HATE HATE them!! So I am running around screaming then Austin screams too because he sees it sitting on the cushion and then Brandi joins in too. Well it has to die but Brandi isn't a fan either and so there really isn't anyone who can do it. Fortunately, my hatred for spiders requires that all spiders I see must be eliminated. And I mean squished dead never to return. So as much as they freak me out I am able to kill them when there is noone else too because I have no choice. THEY MUST DIE!! Plus I told Brandi that if we didn't kill it and it got away I would have to leave because I could never sit on her couch again. So after quite some time of screaming and building up the nerve, I grabbed the cushion and threw it on the floor. Brandi had a can of spider spray and starting attacking. Then I moved the cushion and started stomping. Austin started cheering because we had killed it but I was still screaming because I really hate spiders!! But then we were laughing and I had to take a picture to blog :) Now it isn't very good and it doesn't do justice to how gigantic this spider was alive but no need to fear... we killed the beast!!! Thanks for a really fun night Brandi :) But it might be a while before I can come over again :) Yes I did just post a picture of a squished spider! :) Brandi who hates posing for the camera

Kristian

So earlier this week Kristian played an acoustic show at Village Green in Clearfield. It was kind of weird seeing just him instead of the whole band. Two of the other band members were there to support him and it was funny watching the drummer air drumming along to every song! Love you Gough!! :) KHP (Kristian Heald Project) then played the next night at Bogies. It was a benefit show for a family with a child with a brain tumor. They did an awesome job and the benefit was able to raise quite a bit of money. And Ken and I were really happy because the show was recorded so now we have our song Someday to put on our Ipods! KHP Rocks!!! Michael and Donovan love Kristian. When Kristian finished a song Michael shouted out "Hey Kristian play Iron Man" it was pretty funny. I'm sure Kristian would have played it if he knew it :)
